The Position
The Graphic Design Intern assists in creating visually compelling designs while gaining hands-on experience in a professional design environment. Working closely with senior designers and team members, they contribute to various creative projects across print, digital, and social media platforms.
In this role, the intern supports the team to design scalable Showpad pages, build automated template workflows, explore new Ai key features, and enforce governance across global Roche design assets. This role ensures 100% compatibility with Figma/Illustrator. They have the opportunity to enhance their creative skills, and learn how to create lovable marketing assets for customers using ABX approach.
This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to build their portfolio, work on real-world projects, and collaborate within a dynamic design team.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Vector-First Production: Design, build, and migrate Showpad pages and UI assets strictly within Figma and Illustrator, ensuring all global assets are lightweight, editable, and scalable.
- Template Engineering: Turn standard layouts into robust, modular Figma components and design systems so that "simple design tasks" can be executed instantly or self-sourced by affiliates.
- Asset Optimization: Ensure all imagery and graphics comply with Roche UI guidelines
- Assist in designing marketing materials such as brochures, social media graphics, presentations, banners, and other visual assets.
- Support the team in maintaining brand consistency across all design outputs.
- Work closely with senior designers and other team members to understand project requirements and deliver creative solutions.
- Edit and refine design elements based on feedback and brand guidelines.
- Explore AI page creation and section templates in Showpad to scale approach
- Develop a strong understanding of the organization's brand identity and apply it consistently across all design projects.
- Actively participate in design critiques, team meetings, and professional development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

You are a proactive, innovative problem-solver with a focus on sustainable and scalable solutions. You love to stay abreast of the latest digital updates in order to provide partners with cutting-edge design capabilities, being fully aware of the most current design trends.
Further requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field at a Hungarian University.
- You are available to work 30 hours on a weekly basis
- Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for creative storytelling through design.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills and openness to receiving feedback.
- Basic knowledge of digital design principles for web and social media is a plus.
