More about the role

This is an exciting job opportunity for you as NPI Industrial Engineer in Monterrey with Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting.

  • New Product & Process Introduction: Leads NPIs, product and technology transfers, and ensures fast time-to-market with stable, optimized production processes and equipment.

  • Manufacturing Excellence & Quality: Drives zero-defect production, target output, cost-effective solutions, and continuous improvement using LEAN and other methodologies.

  • Design for Manufacturing (DfMA): Represents manufacturing in product development and lifecycle teams (APC, NPDL, ETO, LCM) to ensure optimized and manufacturable designs.

  • Process Optimization & Technical Leadership: Analyzes workflows, conducts time and motion studies, implements process improvements, and maintains technical conditions to prevent production disruptions.

  • Project, People & Cross-Functional Management: Leads improvement projects, provides technical coaching and startup support, trains project staff, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and ensures compliance with HSE standards.

More about you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline, providing a strong foundation in production processes and systems optimization.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing environments, with a strong focus on New Product Introduction (NPI), process optimization, and production system improvements, enabling effective project leadership and implementation of efficient manufacturing solutions.

  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) required, to effectively apply continuous improvement methodologies, lead problem-solving initiatives, and collaborate in cross-functional and international environments.

  • Fluency in English is a MUST.
