Job Description:
The Infection Prevention (IP) Director is responsible for the Infection Prevention Program within the CoxHealth scope of service as outlined in the Infection Prevention Plan. The program is designed to protect the overall health of patients, families, visitors, staff (paid or volunteer) and physicians who visit or work in one of our CoxHealth locations. The IP Director is responsible for direct oversight of the Infection Prevention Services Department and all epidemiological activities.Education: ▪ Required: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Epidemiology, or Public Health ▪ Preferred: Master’s degree or higher in leadership or Healthcare administration Experience: ▪ Required: 3-5 years’ experience in Healthcare ▪ Preferred: 2 years of supervisory experience ▪ Preferred: 3-5 years' experience in Infection Prevention Skills: ▪ Leadership and team development ▪ Data analysis ▪ Communication ▪ Healthcare systems, patient care, infectious disease, asepsis, microbiology, and public health practices ▪ Regulatory and Quality Improvement ▪ Infection Control Risk Assessments ▪ Policy Development Licensure/Certification/Registration: ▪ Required: Registered Nurse active in the state of Missouri ▪ Preferred: Certification in Infection Control (CIC)Aplyr's read
