DevOps Engineer, SambaSuite Platform

About the Role

SambaNova Systems is on the frontier of enterprise AI—and the infrastructure that powers it has to move fast, stay reliable, and scale without friction. As a DevOps Engineer on the SambaSuite platform team, you will help build and maintain the CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and release infrastructure that keep our engineering teams shipping at speed.

SambaSuite is our cloud-agnostic MLOps platform, purpose-built to simplify the deployment, management, and scaling of foundation model workloads in production environments—powered by our Reconfigurable Dataflow Unit (RDU) architecture. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role at the intersection of AI infrastructure, enterprise software, and developer productivity. You’ll work closely with engineering teams across the company to improve workflows, eliminate friction, and make every release smoother than the last.

This role is well-suited for an early-career engineer with strong fundamentals who is eager to grow fast in a demanding, cutting-edge environment.

What You’ll Do

• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and release infrastructure to support rapid, reliable software delivery.
• Support and optimize build systems, including Bazel ecosystem components such as BuildBuddy.
• Maintain and improve CircleCI workflows and configurations to maximize pipeline efficiency.
• Manage Python package dependencies and their integration within CI/CD pipelines.
• Support artifact management systems including Google Artifact Registry (GAR) and JFrog.
• Troubleshoot build, pipeline, and infrastructure issues—diagnosing root causes and driving fixes to completion.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to improve build, test, and release processes and developer experience.
• Contribute to overall system reliability, scalability, and performance improvements.

What You’ll Bring

Required

• Working knowledge of DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms, with CircleCI preferred.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python or Bash.
• Comfort working in Linux/Unix environments and with command-line tooling.
• Strong problem-solving instincts and the ability to dig into ambiguous infrastructure issues.
• Collaborative by nature—you communicate well and work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.

Preferred

• Hands-on experience with CircleCI at the workflow and configuration level.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
