About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

PLEASE NOTE: Must be a U.S. citizen (U.S. born or naturalized) living on U.S. soil who does not hold dual citizenship with the ability to meet customer and government screening standards applicable to this role.

About the Role

At Salesforce, we believe technology should serve the greater good—powering mission outcomes, stewarding taxpayer resources, and enabling innovation at speed and scale. Missionforce is Salesforce's dedicated business unit revolutionizing U.S. national security operations across defense, intelligence, and aerospace agencies with AI-powered workflows.

Our Missionforce Professional Services team is hiring a Senior Program Manager to lead a strategic talent development program specifically designed for transitioning military service members, building the next generation of Salesforce consulting professionals.

This is a net-new, highly visible role responsible for end-to-end ownership of the talent development program — from strategy and design through execution, cohort delivery, and long-term scaling. It is not a traditional program management role. You will be building a strategic talent engine that directly impacts Missionforce’s ability to deliver for its most critical customers.

This leader will operate at the intersection of talent strategy, workforce development, and delivery excellence, helping address critical talent gaps in Missionforce Professional Services - while advancing Salesforce’s commitment to the military community.

Your Impact

As the Senior Program Manager, you will:

  • Design and launch the Mission Readiness Experience (MRE) program

  • Establish relationships and collaborate with the Salesforce recruitment team and our external talent partners

  • Build a sustainable, high-impact talent pipeline aligned to Missionforce delivery needs

  • Translate military experience into high-performing Salesforce consulting careers

  • Grow cleared delivery capacity within Missionforce and the Salesforce ecosystem

  • Drive measurable business outcomes including billable capacity, certifications, and retention

Key Responsibilities

Program Strategy & Design:

  • Define and operationalize the vision, structure, and roadmap for the Mission Readiness Experience (MRE)

  • Design a cohort-based talent development model (12-week readiness journey) including prerequisites, curriculum, milestones, and success criteria

  • Establish a candidate lifecycle framework covering recruitment, on-the-job training, and job placement

  • Partner with leadership to align program goals to Missionforce growth, delivery capacity, and customer needs

  • Own onboarding, program experience, and fellowship journey from application through graduation

  • Ensure delivery of a blended curriculum including:

    • Salesforce technical skills & certifications

    • Consulting and client delivery skills

    • Leadership and professional development

  • Stand up program infrastructure including tools, systems, communications, and reporting

  • Define and track program KPIs, including: certification attainment, customer readiness, job placement rates, and fellow retention and performance

Stakeholder Management & Partnerships:

  • Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including:

    • Salesforce Military & Vetforce

    • Salesforce and Military Recruiting

    • Professional Services delivery leaders and hiring managers

  • Align stakeholders on expectations, roles, and program outcomes

  • Secure and maintain executive sponsorship and visibility

  • Deliver regular executive updates and program insights

  • Continuously improve program design based on feedback and data

Program Operations & Talent Development:

  • Oversee the participant experience, ensuring high engagement, clear expectations, and strong outcomes

  • Establish and manage a mentorship and coaching model leveraging internal Salesforce talent

  • Enable consulting and technical skills through hands-on learning and programming

  • Support career placement for program fellows into Missionforce, Salesforce, and with our Salesforce partners

  • Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate complex cross-program risks and dependencies that span multiple teams, ensuring clear communication of impact and resolution paths.

Delivery Enablement & Workforce Development:

  • Design and lead scalable enablement programs for the broader Missionforce Professional Services delivery organization, extending beyond the Mission Readiness Experience (MRE) program.

  • Continuously assess evolving customer demands and market trends to identify critical skill gaps and proactively develop upskilling and cross-skilling strategies for delivery talent.

  • Partner with Delivery Leadership, Sales, and the Global Enablement team to align enablement priorities with pipeline demand, ensuring consultants are equipped with the most in-demand skills.

  • Build and operationalize learning pathways that increase talent flexibility and future readiness, improve utilization, and enhance overall delivery quality and customer outcomes.

  • Establish metrics to track enablement effectiveness, including skill adoption, staffability, utilization, and impact on project success.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in program management, talent development, or workforce development

  • Proven experience launching and scaling complex, cross-functional programs

  • Strong understanding of professional services delivery models

  • Experience working with executive stakeholders and influencing without authority
