- Immediate, open position
- $100,000 - $128,000 annual compensation
- Completion of University/College program in one of the following;
- RN, RPN, with Occupational Health designation preferred
- Paramedic or other related program
- Disability Management diploma/certificate
- Strong knowledge and experience with Workplace Safety Insurance Board (WSIB) disability claims management
- Proven experience managing Return to Work Program
- Current certificate in First Aid/CPR
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Health & Safety Act and Regulations
- Experience in a manufacturing environment an asset
- Spirometry & Audiometry experience an asset
- Respirator fit test certification an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required (spoken and written)
- Ability to deal with sensitive issues in a professional and confidential manner
- Ability to work independently and respond to changing demands and deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills, proven accuracy, and attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy required: MS Office; Excel/Word/Power Point/Outlook
MAIN DUTIES:
- Manage all aspects of WSIB administration including documentation, submission of claims, appeals and modified work program
- Coordinate Return to Work assessments and monitoring of employees returning from disability and WSIB
- Communicate with leadership regarding restriction updates
- Communicate with health care providers and work collaboratively with the team to identify suitable, safe and value-add modified work
- Promote and support wellness initiatives in conjunction with Magna Wellness coordinator including managing fitness room
- Respirator fit testing
- Manage medical surveillance programs; audiometry, vision screening, pulmonary function testing and Isocyanate program
- Ensure baseline health assessments are complete for all new hires and forklift drivers
- Promote and act as liaison with the Employee and Family Assistance Program
- Ensure AODA compliance requirements are met
- Responsible for monthly statistics (KPIs), employee meeting slides, team leader communications
