Job Responsibilities:
Monitors operations process flow and quality of production parts and trouble-shoots any equipment problems. Installs new equipment and documents all process signals and corresponding corrective action.
QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:
- Two year Automation and Robotics certificate required.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of related work experience with automated spray equipment and robots required
- Requires knowledge of paint materials, paint delivery systems, mechanical equipment, and down draft paint applications
- Excellent communication skills (English - spoken and written)
- Proven critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
- Computer literate (MS Office)
MAIN DUTIES:
- Trouble shoots and maintains paint machinery and equipment, including calibration of bell applicators
- Implements preventative maintenance as required
- Observes & supports production line robots, and relays observation to application team
- Reviews robot movement and paint delivery parameters to improve painted part quality and paint consumption
- Conducts root cause analysis and supports the paint application team in making improvements to paint quality
- Resets robotic failures, KV, Flow & Limits (documents all failures)
- Ensures long term improvements to yield, customer concerns, warranty concerns & related costs
- Reviews production pareto for application defects & equipment downtime issues
- Works with maintenance on spray equipment, robot control problems and continuous improvements
- Tests and evaluates new products and equipment
- Participates in production, yield and utilization meetings
- Performs all job functions in a safe, healthful, and environmentally conscious manner, abiding by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations as outlined in the company handbook.
