The role focuses on understanding and controlling the dynamic response of complex structural assemblies under operational loads (e.g., vibration, shock, acoustic, aerodynamic, blast, and impact).
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop predictive models, conduct experimental testing, and translate results into robust, low‑mass, high‑reliability designs that meet stringent defense specifications and certification requirements.
- Analyze, research, and develop materials and their related application processes for use in the engineering design of and/or applications in structures, systems and subsystems
- Apply principles of chemistry, physics, and material science to investigate material issues and provide solutions
- Support in the development of structural loads, development of dynamic environments including shock, random vibration, sine vibration, and acoustic environments
- Support testing efforts of functional components to dynamic environments
- Develop data analysis to ensure qualification of flight hardware, also to response to perform structural analysis task at needed base.
- As partial structural role, needs to perform static/fatigue/damage tolerance analysis
