We are seeking a highly motivated candidate for the position of Technical Lead within Information Technology Department under Asian Systems Office.

The successful candidate will be part of a growing dynamic regional team that in charge of Regional Domestic and Cross Border Payment Systems. This is a critical role for Transaction Banking ecosystem that process domestic payments in the region.  You will be expected to play an important role in ensuring quality and timely delivery of system solutions as well as continuous maintenance of production systems.

Job Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise:

  • Provide subject matter expertise in system analysis, design, build and test.
  • Lead the technical end-to-end solutioning, application and architecture, incorporating functional, non-functional, operational and technical considerations.
  • Develop and review technical design specifications (application, interface and architecture).


Project Support:

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Business/System Analysts, and Developers/Testers to ensure technical requirements are met.
  • Support the preparation and execution of test plans, including System Testing (ST), System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Lead technical test preparation, execution and execution, including Performance and Failover Tests.
  • Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of system defects (functional or technical) and problem tickets.

Documentation:

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Ensure all technical documents are up-to-date and accurately reflect the system design.

Operation Transition:

  • Assist in the transition of system from development to production.
  • Provide support for operation promotion tasks, ensuring smooth handover to Production Support team.

Quality Assurance:

  • Participate in quality reviews and contribute to the achievement of quality objectives.
  • Ensure that deliverables comply with MUFG IT standards, policies and procedures.

Maintenance

  • Support the review of system performance, system usage, and resource consumption and take preventive measures before issues arise.
  • Lead efforts to maintain system cyber hygiene (service account, cert management, etc), security patches for vulnerabilities and updates to keep system up-to-date.
  • Manage EOL/EOS for Hardware and Software.
  • Propose improvements to enhance system performance and efficiency.
  • Consider the introduction of new technologies and tools, and plan system upgrade.

Incident Support

  • Manage relevant technical teams including vendors to troubleshoot and investigate reported issues/problem, assess impacts, identify root cause, implement workaround and fixes to resolve the incidents and restore services.
  • Perform hands-on technical investigation at the application level and collaborate bank infrastructure and cyber teams.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 Years of technical experience with specialization in payment systems implementations – initial rollout, country deployment/migration, technical refresh – for VP.
  • Minimum 6 Years of technical experience with specialization in payment systems implementations – initial rollout, country deployment/migration, technical refresh – for AVP.
  • Experience in Asia Pacific Transaction Banking domestic payment clearing and settlement network (low value payment, direct debit, real-time payment, RTGS, partner bank)
  • Experienced with vendor payment product implementation and deployment, e.g., TCS BaNCS, Finastra GPP, FIS OPF.
  • Hands-on experience in methodologies and frameworks used for system analysis, design, build and test in Transaction Banking.
  • Knowledge in Unix/Linux, Java/J2EE platform, IBM WAS/Liberty, Oracle WebLogic, IBM MQ, Oracle DB, IBM DB2, etc.
  • Technical skills in scripting (Unix, Python), programming (Java), framework (Spring Boot, Hibernate), architecture (RESTful API, microservice), protocols (SFTP, MQ, SOAP), database (SQL), authentication (SAML, OIDC), DevSecOps (Jenkins, Gitlab, SAST, DAST), among others.
  • Proven experience in HA active-active architecture and cross data centre resiliency design and operations.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, demonstrated in project delivery, incident management, capacity management, among others.
  • Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and exposure to Agile methodology
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, onshore or offshore
  • Strong communication skill to liaise with stakeholders, team members and product vendors
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated and possess drive, and ability to work independently and a good team player
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
