Essential Job Duties
The Helpdesk Technician II is an experienced IT support professional who independently resolves a wide range of technical issues and plays a key role in maintaining the reliability of Helpdesk operations. This role goes beyond frontline support by owning systems, improving workflows, and designing automation solutions that increase efficiency. A successful Helpdesk Technician II is a trusted escalation point, a strong technical contributor, and a steady operational presence for the team.
You will:
- Independently resolve moderate-to-complex Helpdesk tickets
- Serve as an escalation point for Helpdesk Technician I
- Troubleshoot advanced software, access, and account-related issues
- Identify and resolve basic network connectivity problems
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT equipment, including provisioning and decommissioning
- Administer and support core IT systems such as Okta, Google Workspace, Jamf Pro, and Intune
- Design, build, and maintain automation solutions to improve Helpdesk efficiency
- Maintain and improve Helpdesk documentation, workflows, and standards
- Provide informal coaching and technical guidance to Helpdesk Technician I
What You Need to Get the Job Done
- 2–4 years of experience in a Helpdesk or technical support role
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Strong understanding of Windows, macOS, and SaaS-based tools
- Experience creating and maintaining automation solutions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
