Job Title: Senior Product Designer (Systems / UX Architecture)

Primary Work Location: Hybrid Salt Lake City UT, Richmond TX, OR Herndon, VA

Position Summary

Everfox is seeking a Senior Product Designer to help shape the overall user experience strategy of its Insider Risk portfolio of products and services. This role is designed for a designer who views products through the lens of logic, data flow, and structural integrity. While visual polish is expected, the primary challenge of this position is managing the complexity of technical environments—specifically within Cybersecurity or Insider Risk Management. The ideal candidate understands that in a high-stakes security environment, a clear information architecture is more than a convenience; it is a critical component of risk mitigation and system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Architecture & Information Hierarchy: Design the underlying structural logic of complex platforms. You will map out how data entities relate to one another and ensure that the navigation reflects the user’s mental model of the system.
  • Workflow Engineering: Architect end-to-end journeys for technical personas (e.g., Security Analysts, Risk Officers). You will focus on reducing cognitive load during high-stress scenarios, such as active threat investigations.
  • Data Visualization & Interpretation: Create frameworks for displaying massive datasets—such as behavioral analytics or network logs—in a way that highlights anomalies without burying the user in "noise."
  • Scalable Design Systems: Contribute to and govern a robust design system that prioritizes functional consistency across diverse, customer-deployed environments (on-premise or private cloud).
  • Cross-Functional Strategy: Partner with Product Management and Engineering to ensure the architectural design aligns with technical constraints and the long-term strategic roadmap of the portfolio.
  • Core Competencies
  • Logic-First Design: Proficiency in creating comprehensive site maps, entity-relationship diagrams, and complex flowcharts.
  • UX Research for Technical Personas: Ability to conduct interviews with subject matter experts to translate deep technical requirements into intuitive structural designs.
  • User Activity Monitoring (UAM) Familiarity: Understanding of how users interact with monitoring tools and how to present behavioral data ethically and effectively.
  • Security Domain Knowledge: A strong plus if you have experience with Insider Risk, UEBA (User and Entity Behavior Analytics), or general threat detection workflows.

Experience Requirements

  • 5+ Years in Product Design: Specific experience in B2B enterprise software, preferably in the cybersecurity space.
  • Deep Systems Thinking: Proven track record of taking a "messy" technical problem and organizing it into a scalable, logical product structure.
  • Prototyping Complex Logic: Beyond simple click-throughs, the ability to prototype complex state changes and data-heavy interactions.
  • Technical Literacy: Comfort discussing API structures, database constraints, and deployment nuances with engineering teams.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:

$135,700.00-178,200.00 USD

The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages. Our talent acquisition team will provide specific information regarding bonus eligibility and benefits offerings.
