What this job involves:

This role involves managing a team responsible for the inspection, repair, and compliance of overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment in accordance with OSHA, ASME, and OEM standards. As the single point of contact, you will partner with the customer to develop and execute service and inspection programs while coordinating all repairs with production and global real estate teams. You will provide operational leadership including staffing, training, and performance management while overseeing the site spare parts program and ensuring all work meets quality standards before equipment is returned to operation. This position requires strong technical expertise combined with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, JLL leadership, and technicians to maintain business continuity and customer satisfaction.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Supervise and support a team performing inspections and repairs on overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment to ensure compliance with applicable standards

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all communications between the customer, JLL leadership, and technicians regarding schedules, inspections, and repairs

  • Coordinate repair and inspection activities with production and global real estate teams, identifying operational issues and providing recommendations for resolution

  • Perform oversight and inspection of completed work to ensure all necessary adjustments are made prior to returning equipment to operation

  • Manage the spare parts program including identification, procurement methods, inventory levels, and coordination with OEMs or machine shops for specialty parts

  • Prepare written specifications for major repairs, routine maintenance, and other processes required for business continuity

  • Handle staffing needs including hiring, training, goal setting, and performance management of team members

  • Attend departmental and client meetings while maintaining proficiency in required software including Microsoft Office, Corrigo, and other platforms

Required qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience performing inspections and repairs on overhead cranes, hoists, and similar lifting equipment

  • Current working knowledge of OSHA, ASME, and OEM standards related to lifting equipment

  • Demonstrated ability to work in tight spaces and at heights with comfort and confidence

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with ability to interact effectively at all levels

  • Flexibility, high motivation, and willingness to take initiative in a dynamic environment

  • Availability for limited travel and overtime as needed

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous management or supervisory experience leading technical teams

  • Experience developing and executing service and inspection programs for industrial equipment

  • Proven track record of managing spare parts programs and inventory systems

  • Experience preparing technical specifications for repairs and maintenance processes

  • Familiarity with Corrigo or similar work order management systems

  • Demonstrated commitment to high professional and ethical standards
