ABOUT THE ROLE
Peloton is searching for an experienced, innovative engineer for digital hardware development, focused especially on our Tablets. The ideal candidate will bring his or her years of experience and technical expertise to develop a range of industry-leading products. A strong understanding of complex system-on-chip operation, Android-based systems, and computer peripherals is essential.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- You will use your abilities to develop hardware for Peloton’s industry-leading displays, audio systems, and sensors used on fitness products
- You will be working with a small team of Peloton engineers located in Taipei, the Product Management and Engineering teams in the United States, and our JDM partners to bring our products from concept to production
- This is an in-office position with the expectation to be onsite 4 to 5 days per week
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Hardware Engineering
- 6+ years in the hands-on development of digital consumer product electronic hardware, including a mix of experience in system-level architecture, vendor specifications, qualification plans, and detailed design
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin
- Experience with Android mobile device or tablet architecture
- Experience with development using mobile-device SOC’s
- Experience with high-quality audio and video entertainment systems
- Experience with JDM and CM partnerships
- Experience with electrical safety regulations and EMC mitigation
- Ability to articulate and defend engineering decisions
- Experience with sensors
- Ability to travel throughout Taiwan and Asia, including in China, Thailand, and Vietnam. Travel is expected to be about 10% to 15%
BONUS
- Experience with Solidworks, vision systems, control system theory, MCU hardware design and firmware development.
