Job Description

The QC Microbiology Tech II is responsible for performing microbiological testing and environmental monitoring activities in support of cGMP manufacturing operations. This role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of laboratory data while maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements, standard operating procedures, and good documentation practices.

This is an onsite role. The candidate should live within 50 miles of the Oceanside location as relocation is not offered.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform environmental monitoring of cleanrooms

• Perform water sample collection and testing

• Receive and maintain traceability and integrity of test samples, reagents and

materials used in the laboratory per approved procedures

• Perform material, in-process and final product microbiological assays such as Gram Stain, Endotoxin, Sterility, Microbial Identification, Growth Promotion, Bioburden and Plate Reading

• Perform visual inspection of final product

• Data entry and trend data

• Conduct investigations regarding out of specifications (OOS ) results, address and manage deviations related to micro procedures.

• Routine maintenance of lab equipment and lab spaces

• Develop, revise and review SOPs.

• Review laboratory data.

• Assist in training staff on test methods

• Adhere to good documentation practices to ensure data integrity and traceability

• Additional duties as assigned.

• These duties can be delegated to designated deputies of a satisfactory qualification level as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

A High school Diploma with 3+ years of experience

OR

An AA degree with 2+ years of experience


 

The salary range for this position is: $64,600.00 - $83,600.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
