About the Role
Carrier is seeking a Business Development Manager – Data Center to drive strategic growth in the mission-critical cooling segment. This role will focus on market penetration, stakeholder engagement, and technical solution selling to expand Carrier’s presence in hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center markets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic business development plans to grow market share in the data center segment
Identify and pursue new opportunities across hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and edge data center customers
Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, developers, contractors, and key decision-makers
Influence project specifications at early stages to position Carrier solutions
Lead technical sales activities, including solution positioning, proposal development, and bid strategy
Manage end-to-end project cycles: lead generation, qualification, tendering, contract negotiation, and handover
Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, product, service) to deliver tailored customer solutions
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to support business growth
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B technical sales, business development, or key account management
Mandatory: Data Center experience, with proven track record in selling HVAC, cooling, or critical infrastructure solutions
Strong experience managing full project lifecycle (spec influence → tender → negotiation → handover)
Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and commercial acumen
Good command of English communication
