About the role
This is a great opportunity for someone that is mechanically inclined, especially for people with experience in automotive or HVAC looking to expand their career opportunities on the commercial side of the business. Training will be provided, including hands-on and manufacturer-supported instruction.
Essential Functions
• Learn to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues
• Coordinate with service technicians
• Assist with electronic board scheduling, work order entry and billing processes. Reviews all work orders scanned for billing for any follow-up requirements (ex. return visit required, parts to be ordered, database maintenance for updates.
• Buy specialized items using standardized procedures and assist with “spot” buys
• Credit Card reconciliation for service technicians. Coordinates receipts and assigns appropriate accounting codes with the credit card statements
• Maintains customer orders in ERP as necessary for additional requirements on original work order
• Perform other similar or related duties as required or requested
Experience, Education and Skills
Required
• High school diploma or GED
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
Preferred (Not Required)
• Trade school, vocational training, or mechanical coursework
• Experience with basic electrical systems
• Familiarity with hand and power tools
• Previous work in HVAC, automotive, maintenance, or industrial settings
