The Program Manager, Fulfillment Operations position is responsible for leading the day-to-day activities associated with the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Commercial sampling programs and materials that support the business objectives for all Abbott Nutrition (AN) Business Units. This position will lead the development and delivery of “best in class” marketing sampling programs and materials, supporting materials, and communications for brand initiatives that require delivery of a product sample to the HCP and/or consumer. Additionally, this position will have responsibility to ensure that strategic supply partners (internal and external) have a clear understanding of the strategic initiatives outlined by the brand and deliver consistent messages that support the brand growth objectives. Key outputs for this position will include:
- Well-defined systems for project planning, tracking, and budgetary information in an accurate, timely, effective, and easily accessible manner by members of the core team as well as key internal business partners.
- Communication with external supply partners to assure program delivery against strategic objectives, provide for accurate tracking against project priorities and status, provide for early identification of issues that may impact program delivery, and maintain standards for budgetary commitments and compliance with AN process and procedures.
- Coordination of marketing resources to deliver on-time and on-budget programs to the Business Units.
- Recommendation on program alternatives, development of appropriate budgetary estimates and approvals, development and communication of project timetables, thorough and well-communicated program evaluations, and archiving of all data.
- Timely delivery of all programs per established timetables.
- Accurate and timely financial tracking, with clear visibility to budget performance and spend vs. plan.
- Reduced procurement cycle times and improved PO accuracy across Ariba/SAP.
- Faster and more reliable SAP IDOC issue resolution, minimizing disruption to vendor operations.
- High-quality, actionable reporting and forecasts that support decision-making and inventory optimization.
- Improved inventory accuracy and reduced excess or obsolete inventory.
- Consistent, on-time fulfillment performance across all warehouse channels (Amazon DF, AbbottStore, gratis).
- Increased system utilization and data integrity across SAP, Cognos, and vendor platforms.
- Identified and realized cost savings and efficiency gains across Fulfillment Operations.
- Enhanced operational visibility and performance management through standardized metrics and dashboards.
Major Responsibilities:
- Planning
- Develop sampling programs that meet or exceed business objectives, brand strategies, timing, and budget requirements.
- Develop Brand promotional program calendar and associated communication plans based on the strategic initiatives and directions outlined by the respective Brands and/or Business Units.
- Develop and manage program budgets based on requirements and guidelines established by the assigned Brand(s).
- Develop effective communication systems that align efforts of AN personnel and external supply partners to achieve strategic objectives of the respective Brands and/or Business Unit.
- Participate in Brand planning process. Identify and recommend opportunities as they relate to program development.
- Supplier Management
- Establish annual work plans, develop and communicate approved standards for performance, and provide feedback for all key suppliers.
- Manage the day-to-day activities for external supply partners on all programs to ensure successful delivery against established targets for program excellence, timing, and budgetary considerations.
- Track established success metrics / criteria for evaluation of all programs that are fielded in the support of Brand objectives.
- Program Management
- Ensure that all promotional programs and materials meet brand / marketing, medical, regulatory, general business, legal, timing, and budgetary objectives.
- Management of all systems used for the cataloging / archiving of programs and materials, evaluation of results, and recommendations that facilitate broad awareness among associates of the CRM & Marketing Operations team.
- Own financial management activities, including procurement processes, purchase order management (Ariba/SAP), and budget oversight.
- Serve as SAP subject matter expert, leading IDOC resolution and providing system support for Print and Fulfillment vendors.
- Lead reporting and analytics, including forecasting and inventory management, leveraging systems such as Cognos, SAP, and vendor platforms.
- Oversee warehouse management operations across distribution channels, including Amazon DF, AbbottStore, and gratis.
- Ensure accuracy, continuity, and performance across all operational data, systems, and reporting processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial controls, system utilization, and operational efficiencies.
Required:
- BS / BA in Marketing, Management, or Business. MBA preferred.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in operations, supply chain, print, fulfillment, or related environments with demonstrated ownership of end-to-end processes
- Strong working knowledge of SAP, including inventory management, order processing, purchase orders (Ariba), and IDOC troubleshooting; ability to act as a system SME
- Proven experience with financial management, including budget development, tracking, forecasting, and cost control
- Experience leveraging reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Cognos, SAP, vendor systems) to drive insights, forecasting accuracy, and decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to manage inventory and fulfillment operations across multiple channels, ensuring accuracy and on-time performance
- Strong process orientation with a track record of identifying and implementing efficiency improvements and cost savings
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with vendors and internal stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Regulatory) to drive execution and resolve issues
- Proven ability to translate business strategies into operational plans, with clear ownership and accountability for results
- Experience developing and managing annual work plans, budgets, and performance metrics, consistently delivering against targets
- Excellent planning, organization, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Key contact for interactions on planning and communication of results with Brand and Business Unit Management.

The base pay for this position is
$86,700.00 – $173,300.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
