Asset Protection Analyst

About Your Role:
As an Asset Protection Analyst at Dollar Tree, you’ll support continuous improvement by applying advanced data analysis to understand and improve operational performance. You’ll evaluate large, complex data sets to identify patterns, variances, and trends that distinguish efficient operations from areas of opportunity—including process gaps and training effectiveness. Through insights, solutions, and recommendations, you’ll help drive consistent execution, improve operational discipline, and reduce loss.
Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Data Analysis, Reporting & Modeling:
- Develop, maintain, and automate dashboards, scorecards, and KPIs to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement
- Build analytical frameworks and risk models to support prioritization and proactive decision-making
- Analyze large, complex data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and underlying risk drivers
- Deliver weekly and monthly reporting related to key performance indicators for Asset Protection field and store operations
- Perform ad hoc analysis in response to emerging issues, leadership requests, or business changes
Insights, Recommendations & Business Impact:
- Translate analytical results into clear insights and recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Conduct in-depth analysis using data from multiple sources to provide actionable recommendations to leadership teams
- Support strategic and operational initiatives through impact analysis and scenario modeling
- Understand operational process guidelines to identify improvement opportunities and drive performance
Collaboration & Project Support:
- Coordinate with store operations and Asset Protection teams to review trend analysis and performance reporting
- Identify opportunities and help coordinate projects across Asset Protection teams and external partners
- Partner with corporate and field leaders to align analysis with business priorities and operational goals
Continuous Improvement & Enablement:
- Develop and refine data queries to optimize reporting processes and visualizations
- Continuously improve analytical processes, methodologies, and data usage to increase effectiveness and scalability
- Develop and deliver presentations and reporting solutions for corporate and field Asset Protection and Operations leaders
- Lead presentations and communicate insights to leadership, sponsors, and cross-functional partners
Your Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required and/or 3–4 years of experience in an analytical role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
- Experience leveraging business intelligence and query tools
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience developing and delivering presentations and training sessions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
