What You Will Do

  • Lead global category strategy for a significant portion of enterprise spend, driving value, innovation, and risk mitigation across the portfolio.
  • Define and execute category strategies that align with business priorities, ensuring strong performance across quality, service, cost, and supply continuity.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Divisional Procurement, Supplier Quality, Operations, Materials Management, Engineering, Senior Leadership, Legal, and Compliance to deliver integrated sourcing solutions.
  • Drive value creation through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and ongoing supplier relationship management.
  • Lead cross‑functional initiatives to develop and implement Global Category Plans, including cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization and rationalization, quality improvement, risk management, and contract strategies.
  • Develop and execute commodity strategies in support of divisional and enterprise business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong commercial and contractual relationships with senior leadership at key suppliers.
  • Lead sourcing analytics and decision‑making, including total cost modeling and make‑versus‑buy analyses.
  • Align strategic external investments with suppliers and internal stakeholders, including Research and Development and Business Development teams, to support innovation and capability growth.
  • Manage procurement budgets, conduct financial analysis, and use forecasting to optimize spend and ensure alignment with financial objectives

What you need:

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Procurement.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise‑level category strategies in a global or matrixed environment.
  • Experience in Medical Devices or highly regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of capital equipment and manufacturing‑related categories (CAPEX).

Preferred

  • Experience working with complex global supply bases and senior executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and drive results in cross‑functional environments.

Travel Percentage: 10%
