Assistant Vice President
Financial Control Department - Accounting Section, Hong Kong
Key responsibilities
Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports for head office. Conduct variance analysis.
Responsible for the month-end and year-end closing process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Calculate profit tax in compliance with Hong Kong tax regulations. Ensure timely and accurate filing of profit tax returns.
Perform advisory function to the business units. This includes withholding tax, corporate income tax, booking and tax treaties.
Stay up to date with changes to accounting standards and tax regulations. Analyze potential impacts and develop appropriate action plans for compliance.
Support internal and external audits.
Ensure all accounting and tax operations adhere to internal policies, procedures and controls.
Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
5+ years of related experience in a financial institution
Knowledge of accounting standards (e.g. IFRS) and tax regulations
Strong analytical skills for report preparation and variance analysis
Ability to work independently.
Attention to detail and adherence to strict rules, standards and deadline.
Proficiency in MS Office
