VCA Valley Oak Veterinary Center is adding an experienced Veterinary Assistant to our Team.

Location : 2480 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy, Chico, CA 95928

Compensation : $ 17 - $ 19.50 / hr

Schedule : FT 4/10s

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.
In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.  Duties will include:
• Maintaining medical records.  
• Obtaining histories and vitals on patients 
• Filling prescriptions.  
• Assisting the Veterinarian during Emergency, Urgent Care or General Practice exams
• Providing compassionate care for our pet patients.

 

This is a great starting position for a person looking to gain experience in the Veterinary as an assistant who works directly with our Veterinarians. We have an extensive 6 week training program for this position.
