The Category Manager Lead; Facility Services, will provide subject matter expertise on categories including construction, operations facilities management, fleet, furniture, security to meet pressing demand schedules and fulfill needs of our scaling operations.The Category Manager Lead; Facility Services, is within the Enterprise Procurement and Vendor Management team. A successful candidate would be able to:
- Partner with other teams to implement complex category strategies aligned with business/finance goals, address escalations and serve as the supplier relationship champion.
- Understand and negotiate business specific legal terms and conditions and explain them clearly to clients.
- Analyze data to determine the value of negotiations and the final change in total cost of ownership.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7 or more years in procurement, supply chain management or Facilities Management with the ability to negotiate and draft agreements that minimize financial and business risk exposure, improve terms and conditions, and enforce supplier accountability.
- 3 or more years of project leadership experience to develop multi-year category strategy, build procurement processes with delivery strategies to run processes concurrently to accelerate execution delivery and meet pressing demand schedules
- Experience with leading end-to-end RFX process, identify and build relationships with strategic suppliers, and maximize value creation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business administration (MBA), Supply Chain Management, Finance or relevant field.
- Specific experience in facilities management, construction procurement, or a related industry.
- Leadership Experience - Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role, overseeing procurement teams or projects.
- Has obtained one or more of the following certifications: Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
Additional information:
In this role you will report to the Director of Procurement.
This role will have minimal travel up to 10% based on team engagement and business discretion.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.Scheduled Weekly Hours
40Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
