At our Prestwick Service Centre we are specialists in the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of aircraft engine nacelle systems and engine components. An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Finance Department for 2 students from a relevant discipline to undertake a summer placement. This will be a minimum 12-week placement, running approximately between June and September, and will be based at our facility in Prestwick, Scotland.

What you will do:

This placement offers exposure to the entire Finance function, providing you with hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Project Support: Assisting with project-based work, including revenue and cost controls and promoting best practice.

• Process Innovation: Helping drive the digitalisation and automation of key control processes for continuous improvement.

• Financial Analysis: Supporting management reporting for specific business areas, including the processing of financial accounts and variance analysis.

• Operational Excellence: Contributing to the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training material.

• Broad Horizons: Engaging in related projects that look beyond our Prestwick-based business.

Qualifications we prefer:

We are looking for motivated self-starters with the ability to multitask effectively, plan, and prioritise their workload. To be successful, you should have:

• Recently completed, or be currently pursuing, a university or college qualification with a focus on Business, Finance, or Accounting.

• A keen interest in building a career within the aerospace sector.

• Excellent communication skills

• Essential compliance with all policies and procedures, including EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property, and Global Trade requirements.
