Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the Client Onboarding & Lifecycle Management capability at Northern Trust.

In this role, you will contribute to the execution, delivery, and evolution of the Client Onboarding & Lifecycle Management vision by performing detailed product, project, business, and data analysis, leveraging techniques that enable a highly iterative delivery approach across our change and transformation initiative.  Often working independently while under supervision from product and program leadership, you will work closely with Product Owners, Product Managers, Compliance/KYC, Technology, Operations, Risk and other business partners to capture and document business requirements to enable delivery execution.

The ideal candidate has a background in financial services with experience in client onboarding & account opening.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with subject matter experts across business and technology to capture and document requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable work items for development teams that follow relevant organizational standards.
  • Create and update relevant documentation including (but not limited to): business process flows, data dictionary, operating model, etc.
  • Participate in and contribute to various Agile ceremonies including (but not limited to): backlog grooming, feature & story refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.
  • Create, coordinate, and (at times) execute user acceptance test scripts.
  • Become well versed in the requirements and processes that support Client Onboarding & Lifecycle Management capabilities.
  • May work across a variety of projects ranging from single large scale projects to muti-work stream projects.
  • May present in or lead sessions with stakeholders, business partners, and/or technology partners.
  • May have direct interaction with committees, senior management, and/or other leadership.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skill

  • Excellent oral and written communication, collaboration, analysis, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Experience with digital products, process mapping, business requirements gathering, and/or user acceptance testing is required.
  • Ability to document and translate business needs into technical requirements is required.
  • In-depth functional / industry knowledge is required.
  • Knowledge of Northern Trust Asset Servicing, Wealth Management, and/or Client Onboarding & Lifecycle Management is a plus
  • Experience with relevant Know Your Client (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) rules and regulations a plus.
  • Experience working in a Scale Agile (SAFe) framework & methodology is required
  • Certified in or Experience with Business Analysis training programs or bootcamps like CBAP / IIBA and/or experience in Business Process Modeling is a plus
  • Proficiency in AzureDevOps (ADO), Confluence, Miro, and other product & project management tools is a plus.

Experience:

  • For internal applications - 24 months as Consultant(P2)
  • A College or University degree and/or relevant provide work experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Business Analysis or similar role. (Assoc Specialist)
