Quantium's Consumer & Retail practice has built an impressive track record partnering with leading Retailers and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies globally. We're now expanding our Leeds team to support ASDA through an exciting period of transformation and AI-enabled innovation. We are looking for a commercially astute Lead Consultant to join the team, supporting Asda’s transformation journey and partnering closely with senior stakeholders in reshaping ASDA's customer strategy and commercial operations. This is your chance to combine deep retail expertise with cutting-edge AI capabilities to drive meaningful business impact.
How will you make an impact?
- Strategic client partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to ASDA's senior stakeholders, deeply understanding their needs across range, price, promotions, and customer strategy, identifying challenges and connecting them to innovative solutions
- AI transformation leadership: Help shape and deliver ASDA's AI transformation - from AI powered retail solutions to AI operations optimisation you'll identify high-impact use cases and guide their implementation
- Commercial solution delivery: Lead the design and delivery of high-quality analytics projects using Quantium's suite of products (Q.Checkout, Range Toolkit, Q.Promo, Q.Digital) and bespoke consulting projects that drive measurable ROI for ASDA
- Customer strategy enablement: Support the implementation of ASDA's data-driven customer strategy, leveraging Quantium's deep customer data capabilities and insights
- Partnership growth: Expand our engagement by identifying new opportunities to add value – from extending our existing capabilities to introducing innovative analytics and AI solutions that solve emerging business challenges
- Product innovation: Provide valuable feedback to Quantium's product teams, ensuring our solutions continue to evolve based on real client needs and market dynamics
The superpowers you'll be bringing to the team
- Retail or CPG expertise: Approximately 8+ years of experience in grocery retail, either through consultancy or direct industry experience in buying, category management, sales, commercial insight, or supplier-side roles
- Data and analytics fluency: Strong knowledge and experience analysing customer, transaction, or sales data in a Retail or CPG context. You understand how to translate data into actionable commercial insights
- Senior stakeholder influence: Proven success building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing and negotiating to achieve positive outcomes for all parties. You're confident presenting to director and C-suite level
- AI curiosity and capability: Genuine interest in AI applications within retail and ability to educate clients on practical AI use cases. You don't need to be a data scientist, but you should be excited about the possibilities AI brings to commercial decision-making
- Agile problem-solving: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, regularly changing environment, juggling multiple stakeholders and projects whilst maintaining focus on strategic priorities
- Independent self-starter: You're proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working autonomously. You anticipate client needs and take initiative to solve problems creatively
