Summary The Workplace Technology Manager shall be responsible for leading deployment, asset management, and desktop architecture functions within Information Technology. This individual will combine strategic direction with hands-on technical leadership to deliver secure, reliable, and user-focused technology experiences. The Manager will define team roles, streamline workflows, and foster cross-functional collaboration to enhance service delivery and align workplace technology with business objectives. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education/Experience

High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in a field of study relevant to the current position required; however, candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. A minimum of 8 years’ experience in in a similar or related role, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role required; however, candidates with an equivalent combination of experience, education, certification, and demonstrated proficiency in a similar or related role will also be considered.

License/ Certifications

One or more current, industry recognized certifications (CompTIA, A+, ITIL, etc) preferred.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

  • Expertise in endpoint deployment strategies, including operating system deployment, provisioning, and configuration across diverse environments

  • Proficient in asset lifecycle management, from procurement and inventory to decommissioning and refresh planning

  • Experienced in overseeing asset lifecycle operations, large-scale deployment initiatives, and cross-functional technology projects from planning through execution

  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT operations, service delivery models, and user experience principles

  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and vendor coordination

  • Proficient in endpoint technology platforms and tools (e.g., Windows 11, Intune, SCCM, Group Policy), with a focus on reliability and scalability

  • Analytical mindset with practical troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and system integration

  • Ability to define and evolve team roles, workflows, and communication strategies to support operational excellence

  • Strong working knowledge of current desktop and peripheral hardware and technologies, including workstations, laptops, tablets, printers, and other end-user computing devices.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting and managing various client operating systems and applications.

  • Demonstrated experience with asset lifecycle management programs and processes.

  • Skilled in software deployment and device management across a variety of platforms.

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes for service management, including incident, change, and problem management.

  • Intermediate knowledge of audio, video, and teleconferencing technologies.

  • Basic knowledge of server and network infrastructure operations.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and experience in implementing security measures on desktop devices and peripherals.

  • Experience working with vendors for hardware procurement, software licensing, and support services.

  • Strong skills in creating and maintaining detailed documentation for processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Proven team management skills, with the ability to motivate and drive performance in a dynamic environment.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues and improving service delivery.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on relationship-building and effective collaboration across diverse groups.

  • Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.

  • Experience overseeing IT project activities, including planning, execution, and monitoring.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing technologies and business needs.
