About Standish Management

Standish Management is a leading global provider of specialized fund administration and corporate services to private equity, venture capital, real estate, and other alternative investment firms. With offices across North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, Standish supports investment managers and their investors with high-quality operational, financial, and technology-enabled services.

Technology plays a central role in the firm’s continued growth and operational excellence. Standish is actively investing in modern cloud platforms, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve internal operations, client collaboration, and data-driven decision making.

Position Summary

Standish Management is seeking a Senior IT Solutions Engineer whose primary value lies in business process transformation — not infrastructure management. This person is first and foremost a business problem-solver who happens to know the Microsoft stack deeply.

The role is responsible for partnering with stakeholders across the firm to identify inefficiencies, eliminate manual work, and deliver scalable solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform. You will lead the design and build-out of a Power Platform Center of Excellence (COE), establish governance and best practices, and drive firm-wide adoption of automation and analytics tools.

A critical deliverable in the near term is a SharePoint Online migration and the development of a client-facing portal built on Microsoft Pages — enabling secure, polished collaboration with our clients. You will also build Power BI reporting that directly answers business questions for firm leadership.

Microsoft 365 administration is a secondary responsibility, supporting platform stability, security, and governance in partnership with our Managed Service Provider (MSP).

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Operations & Engineering Support

1. Power Platform Center of Excellence (COE)

  • Design, build, and govern a Power Platform COE that defines standards, accelerates adoption, and ensures quality across the firm
  • Establish a reusable component library, solution templates, and deployment pipelines
  • Define environment strategy, data loss prevention (DLP) policies, and license governance
  • Create onboarding pathways and self-service resources for business users
  • Champion the COE internally — building business unit champions and a community of practice

2. Business Process Improvement & Automation

  • Partner with business units to uncover inefficiencies and translate them into Power Platform solutions
  • Design and implement workflow automation using Power Automate and Power Apps
  • Map current-state vs. future-state processes; document and communicate change clearly
  • Eliminate manual, error-prone processes across finance, operations, and client services
  • Apply AI Builder and Copilot Studio capabilities where they can accelerate outcomes

3. Data & Reporting — Power BI

  • Translate business questions and KPIs into Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Build and maintain semantic data models that integrate data from across firm systems
  • Enable self-service analytics for business users — with guardrails and governance
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure reporting answers the questions that matter most

4. SharePoint Migration & Client Portal

  • Lead the migration of SharePoint content to a well-governed SharePoint Online environment
  • Design and build a client-facing portal using Microsoft Pages and SharePoint — enabling secure document sharing and communication with investment manager clients
  • Establish information architecture, metadata standards, permissions models, and lifecycle policies
  • Ensure the portal meets client expectations for usability, branding, and access control

  SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

5. Microsoft 365 Administration

  • Support M365 tenant administration, governance, security, and compliance alignment
  • Collaborate with our MSP on day-to-day platform operations and escalations
  • Contribute to license management, user lifecycle, and conditional access policies
  • Monitor platform health and support Copilot and AI feature rollouts

6. Mentorship & Enablement

  • Mentor junior IT staff on Power Platform development and M365 best practices
  • Develop training materials, runbooks, and internal documentation
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and platform literacy across the firm

7. Technology Strategy & Innovation

  • Evaluate automation, AI, and Microsoft Copilot opportunities across business functions
  • Stay current with Microsoft's product roadmap and emerging capabilities
  • Contribute to the firm's broader AI strategy as a subject matter expert on the Microsoft ecosystem

Expected salary range: $140,000 – $160,000 base salary (Final compensation will depend on experience, skills, and location)
