Job Description
VillageMD is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our Summit Health, Bend, OR location. We seek a hands-on business advisor who will provide functional guidance and expertise and seamless service to managers and market leaders. This position will require the individual to demonstrate personal initiative, ownership and accountability to effectively provide HR support to VillageMD. This role will be hybrid with a minimum of 3 days in office and will have responsibility for; effective execution of programs and initiatives in talent acquisition, culture change, DEIB, employee engagement, performance management, talent management, employee relations, organization development and change management.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Partnership:
- Implement HR strategies that are in line with VillageMD’s operational goals.
- Act as a business advisor to our Corporate Department leaders on talent related matters.
- In conjunction with HRBP Leadership, review and analyze human capital metrics to provide actionable insights to Corporate Departments management.
- Support major business or functional change, enabling organizational growth, transformation and continuous improvement.
Talent Acquisition and Talent Management:
- Support client groups in effectively identifying and planning for future talent needs and continually upgrading the talent we bring into the organization.
- In conjunction with HRBP, TA, and DEIB leadership, implement strategies to ensure a high-performing and diverse workforce.
- In conjunction with HRBP and TD leadership, implement leadership development and succession planning initiatives.
Performance Management:
- Communicate and support effective performance management processes.
- Implement resources, tools, and training opportunities for leaders to manage performance and drive continuous improvement among team members and leaders.
Employee Relations:
- Proactive and hands-on employee relations support, addressing concerns and promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Counsel our Corporate Department leaders consistent with VillageMD policies/practices, legal considerations, and organizational priorities—advocating both company and employee concerns.
- In conjunction with HRBP leadership, analyze employee relations trends with the business to develop proactive strategies, solutions, training programs and policies.
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
- Provide counsel on HR risks, including labor relations, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution.
Talent Programs and Local Support
- Provide onsite hands-on support and management to leaders and team members.
- Work with leadership and team members to drive employee engagement and effectively resolve workplace concerns, reinforce policies, and total rewards questions.
- Promote and implement HR Best Practices to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Support compensation practices in compliance with Oregon State Law.
- Manage and deliver onsite New Hire Orientation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree is a plus but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a HR Generalist or HRBP role.
- Strong knowledge of Oregon Equal Pay requirements.
- Proven experience in healthcare or a related industry is highly desirable.
- Experience in a rapidly growing and evolving company.
- Demonstrates strong critical thinking, high emotional intelligence, and an ability to communicate clearly and influence.
- Superior relationship management skills through active listening, coaching, and counseling.
- Strong consultative skills, including relationship building, process skills, facilitation skills, and balance advocacy.
- Creative problem solver with a strong work ethic.
- Works collaboratively and effectively in a matrix driven environment.
- In-depth knowledge of employment legislation, compliance, and HR best practices.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Location: Bend, OR (onsite 3-5 days week)
Starling Physicians is seeking a paralegal - role requires
expertise in contracts, researching law, investigates facts, and prepares documents to assist Legal Counsel in providing corporate strategic and tactical legal initiatives.
Essential Job functions:
Assist in monitoring legal actions to which SMG is a party, including review and research of legal bases of claims, timely filings, calendaring appearances, coordinating efforts of outside counsel, and maintaining documentation.
Assist in various corporate transactions and governance by preparing and maintaining agendas, minutes, resolutions, amendments, committee charters, closing documents for business acquisitions and/or real estate transactions.
Assist in preparing and maintaining employment agreements, collaborative agreements and other documentation regarding professional services.
Assist in review, negotiation, finalization and administration of agreements and contracts for services to SMG including facilities, office equipment and supplies, contracted physician services.
Research and review statutory, regulatory and case law utilizing computerized research capabilities and law libraries on a range of issues including: contractual agreements, employment issues, regulatory issues, corporate matters, medical staff issues, policies and procedures, reimbursement issues.
Review and drafting of contracts including physician contracts, construction contracts, consultant contracts, service contracts, confidentiality contracts, and other contracts as requested.
Other tasks or projects, as assigned.

Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, Required
0-1 Years Related Work Experience, required. 2-4 Years Related Experience, preferred.
Paralegal Certification, required.

This is an exempt position. The base compensation range for this role is $96,000 - $116,000. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. The selected candidate will be eligible for a valuable company benefits plan, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401k plan.
