Your Role & Responsibilities

You will shape and continuously improve how hardware and software products are developed across B&R R&D. In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

The work model for the role is: onsite with 10 home office days a month

Your key tasks include:

  • Establishing common process principles across Product Groups, while supporting teams in adapting them to their specific environments.

  • Collaborating with tool owners, DevOps and IT to improve tool integration, traceability and workflow automation.

  • Assessing process maturity and effectiveness, and coordinating process changes driven by new technologies, organizational developments or regulatory requirements — including the use of AI and automation.

Our team dynamics

Our teams support each other, collaborate, and never stop learning. Everyone brings something unique, and together we push ideas forward to solve real problems. Being part of our team means your work matters - because the progress we make here creates real impact out there.

What it takes to Run what runs the world

  • Degree in software engineering, electrical engineering, automation, mechatronics, systems engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable field.

  • Several years of professional experience in hardware, software, embedded-system or complex product development.

  • Ability to understand complex technical and organizational dependencies and translate them into pragmatic solutions.

  • Ability to build alignment and drive implementation without relying on formal authority.

  • Fluent German and English skills.

  • Nice-to-have:

    • Experience in designing, implementing or improving development processes across multiple teams or organizational units.

    • Knowledge of engineering toolchains.

We offer a full range of benefits to help you thrive at work and beyond:

  • Work-Life Balance – Flexible working models, including flextime and hybrid options, to support your personal and professional life.

  • Health & Well-being – Access to various health measures, a Global Employee Assistance Program, and a gender-neutral parental leave policy.
