Support the financial controlling department with economic and financial analysis necessary for the operational and strategic management of the company or the business unit. Prepare financial analysis, reports, and budget forecasts. Participate in the company's monthly and yearly closing. Contribute to the design and management of the budget process. Prevent inaccuracies in financial statements by setting up internal control systems and adopting proper policies for financial reporting. Review financial data periodically to ensure its fairness and completeness. Assist in special projects whenever asked.

Job Description

The Accounting Associate is responsible for supporting monthly accounting operations with a primary focus on receiving landlord statements and compiling statement amounts for timely monthly payments. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external landlords. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and organize monthly statements from landlords

  • Compile statement amounts accurately to prepare monthly payment schedules

  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation of all landlord statements

  • Communicate with landlords and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or obtain missing information

  • Maintain organized electronic records using Outlook, shared folders, and document management systems

  • Utilize Adobe PDF tools to review, combine, annotate, and manage statement documents

  • Prepare and update Excel spreadsheets to track statement data and payment information

  • Meet monthly deadlines and support other accounting functions as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe PDF tools

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles is preferred

Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

  • Prior experience in an accounting, accounts payable, or administrative role a plus
