Job Description

About Flagright:

Flagright is an AI operating system for financial crime compliance used globally by Fortune 500 companies, large banks, fintechs, and fast growing startups. Flagright enables real-time risk detection, automated investigations, and intelligent decisioning, helping compliance teams operate at their full potential in the fight against financial crime.

We operate as a lean, high-performance team with high individual ownership and direct access to leadership.

Role overview:

Design plays a critical role at Flagright, shaping how complex compliance concepts are understood and how the product is experienced across marketing and sales.

This is a hands-on design role focused on marketing and sales, where the goal is to translate product, content, and data into clear, high-quality, conversion-focused visuals. The role requires strong ownership, independent thinking, and the ability to understand context quickly while delivering work that aligns with the existing visual style.

You'll do well in this role if you:

  • Understand context quickly and translate it into clear, effective visuals

  • Demonstrate strong fundamentals in layout, hierarchy, typography, spacing, and color

  • Maintain and extend the existing design style consistently across all formats

  • Think logically, communicate decisions clearly, and iterate based on feedback

  • Work with speed, discipline, and high attention to detail

People who thrive at Flagright:

  • Have been knocked down before and gotten back up

  • Are resourceful—they figure things out with whatever tools are available

  • Have strong opinions and can defend them

  • Learn fast because they're hungry

  • Want to work with no-BS people building something important

People who struggle here:

  • Need extensive hand-holding

  • View high expectations as “unreasonable”

  • Actually prioritize work-life balance

  • Can’t handle ambiguity or rejection

  • Prefer consistent routine over fast-changing priorities

Key responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain marketing assets such as campaigns, ads, social posts, and carousels

  • Create and update sales materials including decks, one-pagers, brochures, and banners

  • Translate product/business concepts and data into clear, compelling visuals

  • Work closely with Marketing and Growth to improve performance through design

  • Continuously refine existing assets as requirements evolve

  • Contribute to event, print, and campaign collateral when needed

  • Use AI tools to explore, accelerate, and enhance design output

Who we are looking for:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in creative, graphic, or communication design

  • Proven hands-on experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, AI tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney), Rive (good to have)

  • Portfolio comprising of:

    • At least 6 complete projects, not isolated visuals

    • Design reasoning or process, not just final outputs

    • Work across multiple formats (web, social, sales, branding, print, animation)

    • Strong design fundamentals visible in layout, hierarchy, typography, and spacing

    • Original work, not heavily template-driven

    • Use of AI tools across different areas (image generation, mockups, animations, etc.)

What we offer:

  • Product with clear, real-world differentiation

  • High-bar environment focused on execution, learning, and continuous improvement

  • Get equity from day 1 at a Y Combinator startup

  • Work alongside a highly competent, top-tier team, including professionals from Y Combinator, ex AWS, and Palantir

  • Enjoy a low-bureaucracy environment, minimal meetings, and an asynchronous communications culture

Application process:
In addition to your resume, please include all of the following or we won’t review your application:

  1. URL to your portfolio

  2. Annual salary expectation (INR)

  3. Notice period
