About the role
We are seeking an accomplished Vice President to join the Finance Shared Services (FSS) organization within Finance, with responsibility for leading a key portfolio within the Data Quality Controls (DQC) function in Mumbai. The DQC function is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data consumed across Finance for Regulatory, Internal and Management Reporting.
In this role, you will drive cross-domain data controls and issue remediation spanning Capital, Liquidity and Balance Sheet reporting, partnering closely with stakeholders across Finance, Technology and Operations to deliver high-quality, timely outcomes.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm’s financial and capital resources. This is a Vice President level position within the Data Management Job Family.

What you'll do in the role
Lead and develop a team delivering data quality controls and outcomes across Capital, Liquidity and Balance Sheet reporting domains.
Own day-to-day delivery for an assigned controls portfolio, ensuring consistent, high-quality outcomes across BAU and change initiatives.
Review and challenge existing controls to identify gaps, strengthen control design, and recommend enhancements that improve accuracy, completeness and auditability.
Monitor key feeds and control outputs; conduct data completeness and population checks; drive break investigation and remediation to closure.
Inform users and escalate critical data quality issues that may impact global calculations and reporting; coordinate actions, milestones and evidence for closure.
Work in close partnership with Technology and Operations to support new initiatives and ensure effective day-to-day BAU delivery.
Review new regulatory/reporting requirements and guide the team to build or enhance controls aligned to regulatory expectations across the three domains.
Encourage and guide teams to leverage strategic platforms, automation and AI to drive efficiency, scalability and control enhancement (e.g., Alteryx, RPA, Power BI where applicable).
Support regulatory, internal audit and external audit engagements by preparing evidence, coordinating walkthroughs, and partnering with senior leaders on responses.
Ensure adherence to the Firm’s risk management and regulatory standards by identifying risks, implementing mitigants, and escalating issues appropriately.

Strong risk and control mindset, with experience identifying, managing and mitigating risks impacting reporting data quality and control outcomes.
Expertise in data governance, data quality and controls, including familiarity with large-scale data environments and (where relevant) cloud-based platforms.
Strong understanding of Finance reporting data flows across Capital, Liquidity and Balance Sheet domains; ability to translate requirements into robust controls.
Proven ability to partner with stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Technology and Operations, managing multiple priorities and delivery timelines.
Qualifications & Experience
12+ years of experience in banking, financial control, regulatory reporting or data governance roles.
Experience across Capital, Liquidity and/or Balance Sheet reporting and associated data quality control design and execution.
Working knowledge of BCBS 239 and enterprise data governance principles; experience operating in large-scale data environments.
Experience delivering control enhancements and/or data-related transformation initiatives in partnership with Technology and Operations.
Professional qualification (e.g., CA/CFA/MBA Finance) is beneficial but not required.
