We are seeking an Automation Engineer to join our Plant in CABA, serving as a technical reference for automated systems and leading the coordination of effective solutions across the plant.
This role is designed for a professional with strong automation and control systems expertise who enjoys leading problem-solving efforts, coordinating stakeholders, and contributing to engineering and improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate brings analytical thinking, creativity, and a collaborative mindset within an industrial automation environment.
This position does not have direct reports but includes functional coordination of external vendors and contractors. The role operates primarily in a manufacturing plant environment, following established safety standards.
What you’ll do for us
In this role, you will help ensure the reliability and performance of automated equipment, systems, and shopfloor networks. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and coordinate the diagnosis and resolution of automation failures, acting as the technical reference and ensuring timely normalization alongside internal teams and external vendors.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities for automated lines and networks, ensuring proper prioritization and execution.
- Provide advanced automation and control systems expertise to Plant, Maintenance, IT, and Automation stakeholders, supporting troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and coordinate engineering and automation projects, including scope definition, technical design, execution follow‑up, and validation of results.
- Enable cross‑functional collaboration with Production, Maintenance, IT, and suppliers, ensuring alignment with technical, safety, and quality standards.
What are the qualifications needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Automation, Mechatronic, or Electrical Engineering, preferably with specialization in Automation or Control Systems.
- Advanced English proficiency for collaboration with global teams and international suppliers.
- Previous experience in Automation, Control Systems, or a comparable role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Advanced knowledge of PLC programming (preferably Ladder) for diagnostics and fault identification.
- Advanced knowledge of HMI programming panels.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues in SCADA systems.
- Strong interpretation of electrical and control schematics.
- Experience with Rockwell Automation tools (Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View).
- Knowledge of Inductive Ignition platforms.
- Understanding of industrial networking and OT environments.
- Familiarity with Modbus TCP/RTU, PROFINET, and Ethernet/IP protocols.
