Job Summary
The Business Intelligence Analyst 2 is a mid-level analyst responsible for developing and supporting data-driven reporting solutions across the Quote-to-Cash lifecycle. This role translates defined business requirements into reliable data extracts, transformations, and dashboards that support operational and tactical decision-making.Working with moderate guidance, the Analyst 2 contributes to ETL development, data modeling, and reporting while continuing to build technical expertise across BI tools and business processes. The role partners with cross-functional stakeholders and senior analysts to ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and usability across Sales, Service Delivery, Billing, Service Assurance, and Usage.
Job Description
Reporting & Solution Development
- Develops and maintains BI assets including SQL queries, datasets, and Tableau dashboards.
- Supports ETL workflows and data transformations using tools such as SSMS, SSIS, and Visual Studio.
- Builds moderately complex reports that align with defined business requirements and data models.
- Assists in optimizing queries and improving performance of existing reporting solutions.
Quote-to-Cash Reporting Support
Contributes to reporting across key lifecycle stages:
- Sales Funnel / Pipeline
- Sales (Closed/Won)
- Service Delivery
- Billing & Revenue
- Service Assurance
- Usage & Performance Metrics
- Works with senior analysts to validate logic and ensure alignment across systems.
- Supports recurring reporting needs and ad hoc analysis requests.
Product & Data Alignment
- Applies established product taxonomy and mapping logic across reporting outputs.
- Assists with integrating new products into reporting under guidance from senior analysts.
- Validates product-level data across systems (CRM → Delivery → Billing → Usage).
Data Quality & Validation
- Performs routine data validation and reconciliation across data sources.
- Identifies discrepancies, escalates issues, and supports root cause investigations.
- Participates in testing for enhancements, ETL updates, and new reporting releases.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Works with business partners to gather requirements and clarify reporting needs.
- Translates business questions into structured queries and visualizations.
- Communicates findings in a clear, structured, and actionable format.
Cross-Functional Contribution
- Collaborates with Analysts 3–4 to deliver solutions aligned to broader data architecture.
- Supports shared initiatives across Sales, Product, Operations, Finance, and Service Assurance.
- Incorporates feedback into iterative improvements of dashboards and reporting logic.
Operational Execution
- Executes assigned workstreams with attention to accuracy and timeliness.
- Supports production reporting and assists in troubleshooting data issues.
- Continues to build technical proficiency and business domain knowledge.
