What are we looking for?
This role supports the Finance function by overseeing insurance-related financial operations, ensuring the accurate calculation of incentives and commissions, and maintaining strong financial controls. The role is responsible for delivering timely and reliable financial reporting to support effective decision-making and safeguard organizational integrity.
What are we expecting from this role?
Manage day-to-day finance operations related to insurance transactions, including premiums, claims, refunds, system administrator
Ensure accurate and timely calculation and processing of compensations for bank partner and agent
Coordinate with the stakeholders as finance subject matter experts on new products, projects, and system integrations
Manage monthly closing from insurance operation including accrual, reserves, and budget
Ensure compliance with internal policies, IFRS standards, and regulatory requirements
Maintain strong internal controls and support audit readiness for internal and external audits
Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items
Support regulatory reporting in collaboration with the Finance Reporting team
Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors and banks when required
Identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation of SOP enhancements and system developments (e.g., SunSystems)
Provide guidance and supervision to junior finance staff
Support the Finance Manager and Head of Department on ad-hoc tasks and strategic initiatives
Who are we looking for?
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the insurance industry
At least 1-2 years of experience in Supervisory or Assistant Manager role
Strong understanding of insurance finance operations (premium, claims, commissions)
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or ACCA (Part II) or currently pursuing professional qualification
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead, guide, and collaborate with team members
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting (IFRS preferred)
Hands-on experience with accounting systems
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis
Good command of written and spoken English
