You’ll also contribute to shaping contract scope through Survey & Quote (S&Q) activities and Contract Change Proposals (CCPs), helping drive program success while managing commercial risk.

At Northrop Grumman Australia, you’ll be part of a team delivering critical Defence capabilities, working on meaningful programs that make a real-world impact.

We offer:

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage contractual disputes, claims, and issues

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and Commonwealth representatives

  • Contribute as part of the Program Senior Leadership Team

What we’re looking for

You’re a commercially astute professional who thrives in complex Defence environments and can balance customer outcomes with business risk.
You will bring:

  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Contract Law, or equivalent experience

  • Experience in contract management within Defence, ideally using ASDEFCON templates

  • Demonstrated experience preparing CCPs and S&Qs

  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to achieve win-win outcomes

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability

  • Experience leading or mentoring small teams

  • A proactive, collaborative approach and strong stakeholder engagement skills

What we offer

  • 18 weeks paid parental leave

  • Flexible working options – hybrid working, 9‑day fortnights, volunteer leave, flexible start and finish times

  • 2 weeks paid Reservist leave

  • Health, wellbeing and generous employee discount programs

  • Additional purchased annual leave and salary packaging options

  • Ongoing career progression opportunities, including leadership development, education support and internal mobility

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable, as such your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
