About the role
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Finance Analyst/Accountant to support the financial operations, regulatory compliance, and accounting governance of our three ANZ entities. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting processes, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial records.
Candidates with experience in Record-to-Report (R2R), General Accounting, or broader Finance Operations are encouraged to apply.
Experience:
3+ years’ experience as a Financial Accountant.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field, CA or CPA qualified or working towards.
Strong technical accounting skills with knowledge in financial compliance and tax obligations.
Must have experience with SAP ERP systems.
Proficiency in advanced excel and other reporting tools (One stream)
Prior experience in a multinational or complex group structure will be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
Own the month-end close process — delivering timely, accurate, and reliable reporting.
Prepare statutory obligations, including BAS, PAYG, WHT, and FBT.
Support external & internal audits by providing clear, accurate financial data.
Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and support foreign currency hedging requirements.
Prepare workings for Payments Times Reporting and FBT submissions in Australia.
Manage AASB16 (IFRS16) leasing entries and occupancy cost reporting.
Work closely with the shared services team on bank reconciliations and payment queries, ensuring proper accounting treatment.
Process intercompany invoices to facilitate accurate expense allocation within ANZ entities.
Support the preparation and coordination of banking documentation as needed.
Manage balance sheet reconciliations, coordinating with the shared services centre to resolve variances.
Partner with the Finance Manager and external tax advisors on compliance and reporting matters.
Support the preparation of statutory financial statements ANZ.
Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and initiatives.
Skills
Strong accounting knowledge with proven experience in month-end close.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of investigating anomalies independently.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Strong planning, organizational, and time management abilities.
Thorough knowledge of Accounts payable function is an advantage.
