About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Finance Analyst


In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives on matters related to financial research, analysis, and reporting

  • Make decisions in multi-faceted situations, providing advice and technical expertise on matters related to complex financial analysis and forecasting as well as economic research in support of management decision making functions

  • Research strategies and make recommendations for forward financial planning as well as enhancing reporting systems to support the production of financial reporting and analysis

  • Provide support to more experienced professionals in the management of budgeting analysis, forecasting analysis, variance analysis, variance commentary, reporting and reviews, and presentation and project preparation

  • Review and analyze complex technical challenges that require evaluation or multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors

  • Make decisions in maintaining effective and efficient reporting delivery that meets brand standards and internal control standards

  • Meet deliverables and drive new initiatives with solid understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualification :

  • MBA / CA / CMA / CFA with 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior leadership to deliver strategic finance solutions.
  • Exposure to Global / US stakeholders and flexibility to work across time zones.
  • SQL and Gen-AI-enabled workflow exposure is an added advantage.
  • Lead strategic FP&A support with strong analytical rigor, business insight, and “lead-from-the-front” mindset.
  • Act as a trusted finance partner to senior/global stakeholders, delivering clear insights, strong narratives, and impactful recommendations.
  • Drive cost and expense management across P&L, including deep dives into cost drivers, allocations, and efficiency opportunities.
  • Deliver timely and high-quality analysis, forecasting, trend analysis, and actionable commentary to support business decisions.
  • Build and review complex financial models, dashboards, and management reports; transform data into meaningful stories.
  • Proactively identify business risks, issues, and opportunities, and work cross-functionally to resolve them.
  • Manage ad-hoc requests and queries with fast turnaround, while supporting change management initiatives.

Job Expectation:

  • Deep expertise in FP&A, financial modelling, management reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Strong understanding of cost structures, allocation methodologies, and expense control.
  • Proven ability to analyze large financial and non-financial datasets using BI tools and analytics platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills, with experience working in global environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Essbase/Hyperion (mandatory), BI tools (Power BI/Tableau), dashboards, and advanced Excel.
  • Solid knowledge of data lineage, data quality, workflow applications, and end-to-end financial processes.
