The Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism & Lipid Research at WashU Medicine is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Nurse Coordinator to support high-quality, patient-centered care. This role is essential in managing clinical workflows, coordinating patient care, and serving as a key liaison between patients and providers.Coordinates the care of patients for a designated service throughout the continuum of care; serves as a clinical resource in area of specialty or expertise.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage and respond to patient communications through MyChart in a timely and professional manner.
Coordinate patient care across the continuum, including follow-up scheduling and care planning.
Order and track diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging per provider instructions.
Communicate test results and provider recommendations to patients clearly and accurately.
Act as a liaison by facilitating communication and coordination of care between patients, families, and healthcare team members; explain routines and procedures to patients and coordinate patient care information to appropriate sources.
Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Provide post-visit education and instructions to patients, reinforcing treatment plans and self-management strategies.
Identify and escalate urgent clinical concerns appropriately.
Coordinate patient care, order diagnostic tests, convey findings to physician, process prescription refill requests in accordance with clinical protocols and provider guidance, and assist with referrals to outside sources.
Assist physician and provide support with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with two years of nursing experience.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, in accordance with the Compact Act.
- Basic Life Support Certification or obtains certification within one month of employment. Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements.
