Job Description:

Lead the digital, data and process backbone of Product Safety, stewarding authoring platforms and data models, driving enhancements, assuring integrity and reporting, and partnering with authoring/regulatory colleagues to translate requirements into scalable, reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Product Safety Systems Operation & Enhancement: Maintain stable functionality of core platforms (Sphera IA, SAP EHS, LISAM/3E/UL WERCS), lead all aspects of releases and upgrades, solve system issues, and ensure reliable performance for global users across GPS and business teams.
  • Define & Govern Product Safety Data Standards: Establish, maintain and implement data integrity rules covering product, raw material, substance, regulatory and compositional data. Lead root‑cause analysis on data issues and drive corrective actions to strengthen stewardship data quality.
  • Translate Regulatory & Authoring Requirements into Systems Design: Interpret hazard communication e.g. EU CLP/PCN/GHS, Dangerous Goods and chemical‑control requirements and convert them into robust functional specifications, workflows and configuration changes, ensuring systems remain compliant and efficient.
  • Deliver Reporting, Dashboards & Analytical Insights: Build, maintain and improve standard and custom reports to support compliance monitoring, audit readiness and business decision‑making. Collaborate with data and analytics partners to deliver actionable insights.
  • Champion User Enablement & Knowledge Transfer: Develop training materials, SOPs and guidance; deliver training sessions; support global users with guide solve; and cultivate a culture of consistent, confident system use across all product-related processes.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement Across Processes & Tools: Identify optimisation opportunities, simplify workflows, champion automation, and collaborate with Digital (IT) and vendors to implement enhancements that improve speed, quality and data integrity across the product safety landscape.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in Chemistry/related science or IT/engineering field relevant to product stewardship systems.
  • 5–8 years in product stewardship or safety/RegTech platforms, data governance, configuration/testing, and process design.
  • Sphera IA, SAP EHS, Lisam/UL WERCS; integration awareness
  • Data models, metadata, validation, issue management; SQL/reporting familiarity beneficial
  • Understanding of HazCom/GHS/CLP/PCN and other associated chemical control legislation to translate requirements into systems/processes
