We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team. This role is ideal for an early career data integration analyst who is passionate about data, eager to learn modern cloud data platforms, and motivated to grow in a collaborative analytics environment. You will support the development, operation, and modernization of our data platform—working across legacy systems such as SQL Server as well as our modern data stack built on Snowflake and dbt Cloud. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in SQL, working knowledge of Python, and a strong interest in modern ELT patterns and analytics enablement.
Job Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to
- Assist in building, maintaining, and monitoring ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest data from multiple source systems into Snowflake
- Support existing Informatica and SQL Server workflows, helping ensure reliable data pipeline execution and timely issue escalation
- Contribute to dbt Cloud projects by developing and maintaining transformation models, tests, and documentation
- Create and optimize foundational Snowflake SQL objects, including tables, views, and basic tasks, while learning advanced platform capabilities
- Collaborate with Senior Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Analysts to translate data requirements into well‑structured, analytics‑ready datasets supporting oil and gas operations
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and training opportunities to build expertise in Snowflake, dbt, and modern data engineering practices
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience
- 0–2 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related technical role (internships and co‑op experience welcome)
- Working knowledge of SQL and basic to intermediate experience with Python for data processing or automation
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar); exposure to Snowflake or other cloud data platforms is a plus
- Understanding of core data engineering concepts such as ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data quality fundamentals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework or hands‑on project experience with Snowflake
- Exposure to dbt (Core or Cloud) through academic, lab, or professional experience
- Familiarity with Python data libraries such as pandas
- Interest in analytics enablement, data visualization, or self‑service BI tools
