Job Description

Amazon Global Supply Chain and Transportation Procurement (GSCTP) is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to lead vendor sourcing and management for our export transportation operations. This team oversees $3+ billion in annual spend across 600+ arcs and 45+ suppliers with worldwide delivery capabilities, managing complex supply chains.

You'll drive large-scale vendor negotiations ($50MM+ total spend), develop consistent negotiation methodology, and ensure alignment with internal stakeholder teams across export operations, finance, business, controllership, planning, and supply chain design and implementation. A successful candidate will deliver improved financial results, operational excellence, capacity growth, and sustainability initiatives while managing multiple vendors concurrently and providing thought leadership within procurement and across Amazon stakeholder teams.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead large-scale contract negotiations ($50MM+ total spend) with global logistics providers, delivering measurable financial impact through improved pricing, terms, and operational performance while balancing cost optimization with service quality and capacity requirements.

- Partner with senior leadership across export operations, finance, business, controllership, planning, and supply chain design and implementation teams to align procurement strategy with business objectives, building consensus among diverse stakeholders without direct reporting authority.

- Design and execute comprehensive procurement strategies that balance financial optimization, operational excellence, capacity scalability, and sustainability goals for the export transportation category, translating business strategy into actionable procurement roadmaps with measurable outcomes.

- Own end-to-end vendor relationships from a suite of 45+ suppliers servicing 600+ arcs with worldwide delivery capabilities, managing complex supply chains, ensuring continuity of service, and driving continuous improvement in delivery performance and service levels.

- Navigate technical and operational challenges across the full procurement cycle from sourcing through contract execution, legal requirements, and systems implementation, working through obstacles and planning for unexpected challenges to maintain momentum on critical initiatives.

A day in the life
This role will work with large export transportation and logistics providers with varying degrees of complexity. This role will work closely with internal stakeholder teams, across export operations, exports finance, business, controllership, planning and supply chain design/deployment and will also work with vendors in the management of assigned accounts.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
- 5+ years of multi-million dollar contract negotiation experience
- 5+ years of managing stakeholders in cross-functional project experience
- Experience in trade compliance, customs operations, customs brokerage, supply chain, logistics or similar
- 5+ years of procurement, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or related field experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
- Experience in Logistics/freight forwarding/Supply Chain industry as a Broker/Customs agent
- Experience with ERP and procurement tools, including Oracle, Coupa and Ariba
- 5+ years of negotiations/cost savings, supplier excellence, and risk mitigation experience
- 10+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics operations, or supply chain procurement
