The Dietary Team Lead is an employee who has successfully demonstrated proficiency in one or more Dietary aide/ Host-hostess position and possess the ability and aptitude to develop into a supervisor position.

High School diploma or GED preferred-

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:  

-Supports the directives provided by Dietary Leadership, often when Managers or Supervisors are not scheduled or present. 

-Performs quality inspections and corrects any deficiencies identified immediately. Reports trends in quality concerns to Dietary Leadership. 

-Reports deficiencies in departmental behavior and performance requirements to initiate a corrective action counseling if necessary. 

-Performs other related duties as assigned by a Dietary Supervisor or Manager. 

-Maintains timely communication with Dietary Leadership about shift concerns. 

-Helps to promote a positive work environment by encouraging teamwork.

 Host/Hostess: 

                  -Leads to check that all condiment trays are filled, menus and stock carts are filled and delivered to 

                   the floor by its host/hostess. Along with making sure all extra host/hostess duties are completed. 

                   -Deliver late meal trays, if needed 

                   -Assist other team members (hostess) with job duties, once you have completed your floors tasks 

                   -Check/monitor other host/hostess floors and report back to the supervisor on duty with any findings 

                          -Check soiled rooms, patient rooms for soiled trays, etc. 

                   -Assist with training of a new host/hostess 

                           -Must fill out, sign and turn in training logs for all newly trained host/hostess. 

                   -Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule based on department needs. 

                           -Work schedule may include evening shifts as needed, (11am-7pm shift). 

                   -Complete 25 patient surveys each week 

                   -Assist supervisors with finding coverage for call outs. 

                   -Ensure that all host/hostess have completed their extra duties each day. 

                     -Along with any additional duties given to you by your supervisor based on departmental  

                    demand. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  

Walking and standing for long periods of time resulting in moderate fatigue. Frequent Lifting, pushing, or pulling of 25 to 50 pounds.   

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:   

Patient tray line and dish machine room are frequently hot environments.
