We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on Trade Assistant to join our team and support our experienced tradespeople in a busy manufacturing and service environment.

About the Role

As a Trade Assistant, you’ll work closely with our qualified tradespeople, gaining valuable on-the-job experience while supporting the repair, maintenance, and assembly of mechanical equipment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to learn, reliable, and genuinely interested in building a career in the mechanical trade.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting tradespeople with repairs, maintenance, and rebuilds of mechanical equipment

• Supporting the strip, assess, repair, and assembly processes

• Helping with equipment modifications and general workshop tasks

• Following all safety procedures, including Take 5s, JHAs, and incident reporting

• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

• Completing tasks as directed by supervisors and team leaders

What We’re Looking For

• A strong interest in mechanical trades or manufacturing

• A willingness to learn and take direction

• Good attitude and reliability – someone we can invest in long-term

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Physically fit and able to perform hands-on work

• Basic understanding of tools or mechanical work (desirable)

• Ability to read engineering drawings (desirable but not essential)
