About the role
The Surgical Technologist performs various tasks supporting perioperative services. This position assists multiple disciplines within the operating room by preparing patients and equipment for procedures and maintaining environmental standards. This position, also, provides technical assistance to surgeons by anticipating procedures and equipment. The Surgical Technologist measures and passes medications, hemostatic agents, and other solutions.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
We have .9 Days Surgical Tech I and Surgical Tech II positions available
10 Operating Rooms with a case mix of ortho/spine, vascular/open heart, laparoscopies, robotic hysterectomies, and spinal fusion cases etc.
Procedures Monday - Friday, plus weekend call rotation

Arrange instrument trays, prepare sterile drapes and solutions, and help the surgical team put on caps, gowns, and gloves.
Assist with prep of patients, as needed.
Pass instruments to surgeons and surgical assistants.
May assist with sponge, needle, and other supply counts to track materials used in surgery.
May operate suction, diagnostic, and sterilizing equipment, and package specimens to take for laboratory analysis.
Clinic responsibilities may include rooming patients, taking vitals, orders, and routing phone calls.
Qualifications (Surgical Technologist I)
Required High School Diploma/GED
1 year Surgery Preferred
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) Indiana
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Illinois
Qualifications (Surgical Technologist II)
Required High School Diploma/GED
1-year Operating Room Experience Required
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
