Our team is actively seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Staff Project Engineer to quickly integrate into the team and serve as a representative to Anduril’s Reston office. In this role, you will support the Anduril Frontier Systems division with your technical expertise and fostering strategic collaboration across various teams. This includes working closely with program leadership, supporting companies, and government partners. This position will primarily focus on support to Anduril’s Golden Dome initiatives in the Discovery business line but may include support to other business lines as required.
The Test Engineering team works across the entire spectrum of products ranging from Lattice Ghost UAS, Sentry Tower, cUAS and our other platforms. Our team conducts full system level development testing, new aircraft development, sub-component qualification testing and much more. In short, if it involves test, we support it. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- As a Staff Project Engineer, under minimal supervision, you will determine and develop various approaches to achieve T&E goals and help guide and perform the completion of test activities
- Support execution of testing at private and government owned test ranges
- Internally deconflict test events with other Anduril programs and efforts
- Responsible for safe operation of all testing efforts
- Work closely with Engineering to discuss test results, to include collected data and observations.
- Collect and perform initial test data analysis for the system under test
- Document test procedures and results, providing detailed reports for engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
- Coordinate with government test ranges to test and evaluate systems and software
- Conduct testing of classified capabilities in an unclassified setting, working with customer and Anduril security teams to ensure all protocols and security measures are adhered to
- Integrate Anduril’s T&E process into the program, ensure adherence throughout the life of the program.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Current Top Secret Security Clearance.
- 10+ years of test engineering experience or comparable skill (i.e. military exercise planning & evaluation, or a mixture of engineering disciplines with some experience in testing)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution
- Must be able to execute the full test engineering process for a System-of-Systems (requirements, test planning, readiness reviews, safety reviews, test execution, test reporting, etc.) with little to no oversight utilizing company test and evaluation policy
- Experience producing customer facing test deliverables (test plans, test reports, data analysis, etc.) and demonstrated maturity to articulate deliverable to a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience as a test conductor, test director, or similar role while executing testing
- Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and solve problems across a variety of engineering areas
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver results in a highly ambiguous, fast-paced environment with little to no oversight.
- Must be able to work across multiple large initiatives and drive them to closure or a sustainable solution.
