About the role

Student Position: Communications and Events Coordinator (40 %) – Nord Pool

Nord Pool is Europe’s leading power exchange, connecting electricity markets across multiple countries. The company operates in a panEuropean, multilingual environment and is majority owned by Euronext, the leading European market infrastructure group. Nord Pool works closely with international colleagues while maintaining a strong operational presence in the Nordics and beyond.

We are now looking for a structured, curious and motivated student to join our communications team in a part-time position (40 %, approximately two days per week). The role combines hands-on support for communications activities and the planning and delivery of internal and external events.
The position is part of the communications function at Nord Pool. You will work closely with the Communications Director and the Event Manager, and report to the Communications Director.

Role description
As Communications and Events Coordinator, you will support both ongoing communications work and the organisation of events and meetings. The role includes practical coordination tasks as well as editorial and monitoring responsibilities, offering broad exposure to how a panEuropean organisation works with communications, content and stakeholder engagement.

You will gain practical experience across written communication, media monitoring and event coordination, and work closely with colleagues across functions, countries and the wider Euronext group.

The position is based in Lysaker, Oslo. Some flexibility will be required in connection with events, but working hours can otherwise be adapted to your studies.

Key responsibilities
Events and coordination

-Support the planning and delivery of physical, digital and hybrid events such as seminars, workshops, customer meetings and internal events.
-Coordinate practical logistics including invitations, registration and guest lists, venues, catering, AV support, presentations, photography and giveaways.
-Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers and agencies as needed.
-Contribute to evaluations and followup after events.

Communications and editorial support

-Media monitoring in Norwegian and international media, including preparing regular overviews and summaries.
-Assist with editing, proofreading and quality assurance of texts in Norwegian and English.
-Draft and adapt short texts for internal channels, websites and presentation material.
-Update content and plans in internal communications tools.
-Support ad hoc communications tasks as required, depending on needs and capacity.

Tasks will vary over the year and provide insight into the full communications and events process in an international organisation.

Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who:

-Is currently a student in communications, media studies, journalism, PR, marketing, event management, organisation and leadership, or a related field.
-Has a strong interest in communications, content and coordination.
-Is well organised, reliable and detailoriented.
-Is comfortable managing several tasks in parallel and meeting deadlines.
-Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Is fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Relevant experience from part-time work, student organisations, editorial work or events is an advantage but not required.

We offer

-A varied and hands-on student role with close followup and real responsibility.
-Practical experience in communications and events in a panEuropean organisation.
-Insight into working in an international group and across borders within Euronext.
-Flexibility to combine the role with your studies.
-The opportunity to build a professional network within Nord Pool and the wider Euronext group.
-A welcoming, inclusive and collaborative working environment.
