With a large and growing portfolio of clients, we are looking for a proactive and business-savvy Associate Consultant within Value Engineering who is eager to make their mark within data-driven value articulation, value cases, and measurement frameworks! If you're a self-starter with a passion for data and a desire to learn and grow, this is the role for you!
What will your day look like?
As our new Associate Consultant within the Value Engineering team, you will work alongside our Strategy Consulting team of 15+ people in helping clients understand the potential and how to realize the ROI of their investments in digital marketing, loyalty and CRM. Your work will create recommendations for executive management and support large-scale transformation within some of the biggest companies in the world. You will be working with different clients and projects simultaneously while collaborating with the broader VML MAP organization.
More specifically, your tasks will include:
- Assisting in the development of value cases, measurement frameworks, benchmarks, and KPI reports.
- Contributing to the creation of fresh and enhanced assets, tools, and materials, supporting the advancement of the field.
- Supporting the crafting and delivery of compelling presentations, roadmaps, and guidance tailored for executive-level business audiences.
- Assisting in facilitating workshops focused on discovering business value and strategic insights in collaboration with client stakeholders.
- Supporting the promotion of a value engineering approach both within the organization and externally, among clients and potential prospects.
- Supporting our client and growth team with account growth and new business development.

At the VML MAP headquarters in Copenhagen, you will become part of a dynamic and international environment where you will get plenty of opportunity to develop your personal and professional skills.
Your work will depend on collaboration with the wider VML MAP teams, which means you will get to collaborate closely with experts from our technology, data, creative, and client teams from our offices globally.
In addition, you will be working with our clients, both management and specialists, across many of their functions including marketing, sales, digital and technology. Our global clients span across multiple industries including FMCG, retailers, fashion, automotive, and financial services.
What do you bring to the table?
As a person, you are an outgoing, sociable team player with strong interpersonal skills and a self-starter, can-do mentality. You find energy in solving complex challenges in a structured manner with a strong grasp of detail. You possess a strong ability to collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, drawing sound insights and recommendations supported by a clear and concise storyline.
In addition, you have:
- 1+ years of experience in a relevant field such as consulting, business analysis, marketing analytics, finance, or a strong internship background.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A relevant bachelor's or master's degree; preferably in business administration, strategy, marketing, finance, or similar.
- A prominent level of proficiency in the use of PowerPoint and Excel, with a strong ability to craft compelling narratives through presentations.
- Familiarity with business case modelling or financial analysis is a strong plus.
- An eagerness to learn and adapt to complex environments with many stakeholders on a global level.
- An interest in understanding both the big picture and underlying details.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, including strong writing and presentation abilities.
