We are seeking a highly motivated, adaptable, and hands-on Task Force Hotel Operations Manager with strong experience in overseeing hotel or resort operations. This role serves as a temporary, high-impact leadership position, responsible for stabilizing, supporting, and improving hotel operations during transitions, openings, performance challenges, or leadership gaps.

Your Role:

  • Assume interim operational leadership for assigned hotel or resort properties as needed
  • Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring brand standards, policies, and procedures are consistently met
  • Lead and support department heads across Rooms, Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage (if applicable), and Guest Services
  • Drive guest satisfaction and service excellence throughout the entire guest experience
  • Monitor and manage labor productivity, scheduling, and payroll to align with budgetary goals
  • Review financial performance, forecasts, and expense controls; identify opportunities to improve profitability
  • Assess operational challenges quickly and implement corrective action plans
  • Coach, mentor, and support hotel leadership teams; provide hands-on training as required
  • Ensure smooth transitions during openings, leadership changes, renovations, or ownership changes
  • Partner with Sales, Revenue Management, and Corporate teams to support occupancy, ADR, and service initiatives
  • Ensure standards for safety, cleanliness, maintenance, and regulatory compliance are met
  • Communicate effectively with ownership, leadership teams, and corporate stakeholders
  • Provide detailed handover documentation and operational recaps at the completion of each assignment
  • Stay informed of hotel industry trends and recommend operational improvements where applicable

What are we looking for?

  • Proven hotel operations leadership experience (Assistant General Manager, General Manager, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of hotel financials, labor management, and operational KPIs
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new properties, brands, systems, and team cultures
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on, visible leadership style with a strong service mindset
  • Willingness and ability to travel on short notice for temporary assignments
  • Experience working in task force, interim, or multi-property environments preferred

Employment Status & Benefits:

Task Force roles are classified as temporary, full-time positions. Temporary employees are not eligible for medical, dental, life insurance, paid time off, retirement savings plans, or bonus programs.

Compensation

Task Force assignments are compensated on a weekly rate basis and paid biweekly or in accordance with the property’s payroll schedule. Compensation is determined based on role level, scope, location, and assignment complexity. The pay range for this position is $1,500–$2,500 per week, depending on assignment level. Actual compensation will be confirmed at the time of assignment.
