About the Opportunity

Shipping programs are foundational differentiators for the eBay marketplace, directly impacting customer satisfaction, seller growth, delivery speed, trust, and marketplace economics. As eBay continues to scale and evolve its Shipping portfolio—including Managed Shipping, Labels, PUDO networks, cross border trade and logistics strategy—we are looking for a strong operator to help drive executional rigor, cross-functional alignment, and business performance globally.

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Business Operations, Shipping to lead business operations and program management across a portfolio of strategic shipping initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic business partner to the Global Shipping leadership team, supporting execution across a portfolio of shipping programs and initiatives.

  • Lead cross-functional program management ensuring clear ownership, accountability, milestone tracking, and execution against business goals.

  • Drive executive operating cadences, including Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs), Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), SteerCos, and leadership updates, synthesizing complex information into concise executive-ready narratives.

  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Strategy, Finance, Analytics, Customer Support, Trust, and regional business units to align priorities, unblock execution, and drive coordinated outcomes.

  • Build and maintain portfolio-level visibility into program health, KPIs, operational risks, dependencies, financial performance, and go-to-market readiness.

  • Support strategic planning, business case development, investment prioritization, and operational scaling initiatives across global shipping programs.

  • Develop frameworks, processes, and governance mechanisms that improve execution consistency, organizational clarity, and decision-making velocity.

  • Lead cross-functional alignment on critical operational topics including seller adoption, logistics performance, program readiness, customer experience, and marketplace operations.

  • Partner with Finance and Analytics teams to track business performance, operational metrics, forecasts, and program impact across key shipping initiatives.

  • Help identify operational bottlenecks, organizational gaps, and scaling opportunities, while driving continuous improvement across the shipping organization.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Business Operations, Program Management, Strategy & Operations, Consulting, or General Management roles.

  • Experience managing large-scale cross-functional programs within ecommerce, logistics, marketplaces, supply chain, or technology organizations.

  • Strong operational rigor with demonstrated ability to drive execution across multiple concurrent initiatives and stakeholder groups.

  • Experience leading executive-level operating cadences, SteerCos, business reviews, and executive communications.

  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex operational data into actionable business insights.

  • Proven ability to influence and align senior cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Business teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentation development.

  • Experience working in fast-paced, highly matrixed organizations with global stakeholders preferred.

  • Experience in multi-sided marketplaces, ecommerce platforms, shipping/logistics, or related operational ecosystems strongly preferred.

  • BA/BS required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
